SpeedIQ Privacy Policy

SpeedIQ is built with a privacy-first approach. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, what we store, and the choices you have.

In simple terms: your speed test results stay on your device, and we do not require an account to use the app.

1. Information We Collect

SpeedIQ runs entirely on your device.

We do not require you to sign up, and we do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or contacts.

To perform a speed test, we temporarily process limited technical network data, including:

  • Approximate connection type (WiFi or cellular)
  • Selected test server
  • Download speed
  • Upload speed
  • Ping
  • Jitter
  • Packet loss

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

All test history, insights, and app settings are stored locally on your device only.

We do not upload your test results to any server, and we cannot access your history.

You can permanently delete this data at any time by clearing app data or using the “Clear all data” option in the app.

3. Your IP Address

Running a speed test requires connecting to a test server, which means your IP address is temporarily visible to that server during the test.

We use it only for routing the test and estimating approximate location and ISP. We do not log or store your IP address after the test.

4. Advertising

The free version of SpeedIQ may show a single advertisement after a completed test.

Ads may use limited, non-personally identifying signals to display relevant content.

Ads are never shown during onboarding, during a running test, or while results are being calculated.

5. Analytics

We may collect anonymous and aggregated usage statistics (such as how often a test is started) to improve the app.

This data is not linked to you and cannot identify you.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, we use them only for speed summaries, performance reports, and reminders you opted into.

You can turn off notifications anytime in your device settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

SpeedIQ is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app. Continued use of SpeedIQ means you accept the updated policy.
